今日はドヤ顔でイバリ炸裂の記事です。
日本の文部科学省は民間による英語テストを実施するのを先送りした、とNHKニュースでやっていました。それを聞き、そうだ、久しぶりに無料の Language Level テストをやってみよう！ と思いたちました...。
https://www.languagelevel.com/ というサイトに行くと、上記が表示されます。
文部省の導入しようとした民間テストでも CEFR（Common European Framework of Reference） を計って、有名大學なんかではレベルA2に達していないと出願時に足切りする、とかいう理不尽な話をネットで読みました。
CEFR... 個人的には「セフレ」と読んでいます。ｗｗｗ
さて... この簡易無料テストでは4択の15問を答えると、結果が表示されます...。
やった！ セフレ C2 が出ました。
単なるマグレでもうれしい。今まで3～4回試したけど、いつも決まってC1と表示されていました。
もう還暦過ぎたのに、セフレとはいつもＣまでいける！！ ←少し勘違い
かかった時間が評価されるのかどうか判りませんが、たぶん5分ほどあれば答えられると思います。
これ... 所要時間2分35秒でしたが、iPad を持ってソファで仰向けに寝そべって回答。
リラックスして、選択肢から一番耳障りがいいのを選んでいたら、C2が取れました。
試しにじっく～り考え「こっちが正解かも？」って選んでみたら... B2になりました。(笑)
セフレのレベルは A1・A2・B1・B2・C1・C2 の6段階です。
セフレB1あれば銀行口座が開ける。というのは笑えた。J.P. Morgan Chase だったら現金見せるだけでOK！(爆)
普通にアメリカで暮らしているだけですけど、20年以上住んでいるから「継続は力なり」でしょうか。
あと、試しにスペイン語をテストしたら見事に A1 だったよ。設問がまるっきり解らんかったよ。(笑)

Indeed, English daily conversation in the real world contains divisions like verbal/script that aren’t analyzed in the test.
The test showed my English level was evaluated as C1 with citation to the Framework.
Considering the relation with English in my past life has been so deficient, it seems reasonable that my one is much inferior to yours,
Thus, I don’t think the result is approximately equivalent to a pass at CAE, an IELTS band score of 7.5 or 100 at TOEFL iBT at all.
The examination includes language rules of English and terminological asking…my test conclusion C1 would assist me to select the situation to repeat study to improve at, namely at ‘You Can (Not) Upgrade - Old fart's dear diary’…LOL

DeleteSensei, your written English is superb, probably better than me.
From my point of view, your English is a bit too tend to ‘written’ vocabulary, means; the words you used are uncommon hence it sounds somehow strange, but it still understandable enough and works for well-educated listeners. Kids or dumb (including me) can’t understand your English well because the vocabulary you use are too broad and difficult, seriously.
The colloquial/verbal English is a different story. Learning language without its culture is meaningless, especially listening and spoken. The best way to learn foreign language is just jumping in such native speakers and receive a torture, then you’ll be a fluent speaker.
This online test can’t be perfect since there are only 15 questions. However, I constantly diagnosed as C1, it can be somewhat trustworthy. So if sensei received C1, you can be confident about your English works well. But the result I’ve got C2 is an accident or miracle. I can’t receive TOEFL iBT at 120 which is full score… no, it’s not possible at all!! (lol)
