United were replacing Oreo for Biscoff biscuits among their costless light meals for Y-class travelers, weren’t they ?
Fortunately, they wouldn’t quit but would continue serving such cookies even if the brand was changed.
Though I don’t know whether or not the taste Biscoff cookies are good, nor their cost-benefit is reasonable, the replacement to Oreo from Biscoff is just a transformation, not a permanent removal, isn’t it ?
What United introduced were Thin Oreo cookies, looked smaller, cheaper and degraded version of genuine Oreo and that was a double sucker punch to me. Biscoff cookies were being served even in United First® cabins, and its caramel flavors are so popular. The son-in-law of my Swiss Doctor is a great fan of Biscoff, he even loves Biscoff Spread for his toasted breads in the morning.
Now we are not sure United resumes those tiny amenities in the airborne. Novel coronavirus changed everything and the cookie is not an exception.
