From İstanbul

  1. obaKoba-sann,

First off, why I picked E. was just recalling ‘Predator MOTHERFUCKER !’ (lol)
It’s one of my favorite scenes in the movie.

Oh, I swear to tell the truth ; I’m NOT recognizing or perceiving the difference between T-Gakuen and others at all.

Because you are very familiar with biology, pharmacology along with biochemistry, no wonder you are easily thought to be a doctor.

In fact, it is frequently found out that I am a doctor, particularly a physician, though I don’t know why.
A few years ago, a taxi driver told me it was kind of easy to recognize that the passenger might be a physician, a teacher or a detective by an atmosphere oozing out from his/her whole body, however I didn’t judge if it was true.

    1. Yamada Denki sensei,

I didn’t watch Predator series, so I didn’t know that phrase… That would be fun.

Regarding the T-Gakuen, I think you’ve already had a big fun with those “abnormal” behaviors and rules in that private school… I even got surprised when I entered there from public school Kisarazu High, where Sony Chiba and ‘NejiNeji’ Wakao graduated… oh, Mr. Chiba’s apprentice Ms. Etsuko Shihomi is your neighborhood, right?

And I still don’t understand why people misrecognize me in the healthcare industry… as you know; Japanese are quite familiar with medicines and pharmaceutical issues as we can easily understand in this novel coronavirus situations. In the States, all of the news announcements are much, much easier to understand because the average educational level is sadly lesser than Japan, and Japanese are the people who consume the largest amount of medications.
I explained the above but the nurses at my primary physician, dental office, ER and ICU at the large hospitals, all of them thought I was a MD or pharmacist… My better-half’s physician told me normal people doesn’t call Vitamin-C as L-ascorbic acid… means, I am abnormal. *sigh*

In Turkish hamam, I didn’t have any, nothing, nada of discussions about medical, biological or chemical issues because they can’t speak English that much fluent. Yet, they said I look a med-doctor… I think that’s because of large skull and bold hair. That’s too pity.

Talking about taxi driver, the funniest misrecognition happened in Burbank, CA when I ask him a ride to Walt Disney Productions, for videogame licensing negotiations. Mr. Driver thought I were an actor, at least a voice actor, he didn’t allow me to get off the car until I gave him a sign on his notebook… How it can happen? I still have some ethnical accent! (lol)
