バークレイズの Luxury Cardｗ の宣伝でした。日本初の World Elite MasterCard だそうです...。ｗｗｗ
以前、ヤマダ電機ｾﾝｾｲが「こんな妙なカードの情報が...」って、日本でも発行された旨を教えてくださいましたが、このカード群はイタイ、イタすぎる。FlyerTalkでも嘲笑の的になっているカードです。自分で Luxury とか Black Card とか言ってて、まともな感性の人間だったら、これを加盟店で見せる勇気が無いと思う。
あとね、高齢のアメリカ人に聞くと、MasterCard って VISA より格下なの。その昔、義父に聞きましたが間違いなく MasterCard が格下だと認識していました。ボストンで医者をやっていた人なので、ニューイングランドでの常識だと思われます。だからどうがんばっても Visa Infinite とか Visa Signature ブランドにはかなわないと思います。

「間違ったしゃがみかた」の絵は、どう考えてもその姿勢で用が足せるとは思えません。あと、使用済のトイレットペーパーをゴミ入れに捨てるのは下水設備が脆弱で詰まりやすい中米などでは、日本とは逆に必須事項です。
（便器に対するヒトの縮尺が完璧に間違っているのは、あえて指摘しませんでした）
United Club 入場前に、まともな鮨をつまんでいくことにしました。
masaさんも御用達の「すし京辰」にやってきました。
看板の文句によれば「日本を去る前にまともな鮨と酒が愉しめる最後の場所」だそうです。
にぎりのセットはこんな。少し変だけど、ほぼ無理のない英訳に感心。ベイエリアでこの品位の鮨はまず期待できないので、特上にぎりを。他には細巻きの納豆巻きに、アボカド＋海老巻きもお願いしました。
そうだよ。アメリカ人には鮨にコーラが定番だよ。
お寿司って目の前にいっぱいあると、なんだか嬉しい。
かずのこは... 鮨ネタとしては食べつけないので不思議。まぐろは上質で美味ですし、甘海老も嬉しい。
納豆巻きは大好き。アボカド＋海老はカリフォルニアの寿司屋で出てくるみたいな「裏巻き」になっていました。
入ってすぐ左側の、窓際に並んだソファを占領。こんな場所です。
アルコールがいろいろ。セルフサービスなので飲む人には嬉しいのかも。
すし京辰で上等なやつをたらふく食ってきた後なので、このSAFEWAYで売ってるような物体は当然パスです。
アボカドがゴロゴロしているディップが予想外においしい。フルーツはキウィとパイナップルを重点的に奪取。
ほどなく Campbell(F) さんが同居人さんをANAラウンジに残して(笑)現れ、しばし歓談後に一緒にプリボードしました。

You say the previous Global First Lounge, present United Club at SFO is a catastrophe.
The place at SFO must exceedingly be poor, terrible, unhappy and sickening.
You’d move to Centurion Lounge in T3 instead, in spite of its substantial long distance.
Its inferior portion might be the characteristics and features of customers, right ?
You also say there’re excessively a lot of passengers asking for food and the lounge seems to be a protection or a habitat for displaced folks, don’t you ?
Leaving bad news behind (LOL), let’s move to the Sushi restaurant.
If I have a layover in NRT, I’ll think about visiting the place.
I’m able to dine some astonishing sushi there.
I’d like to order o-toro and ikura.
Can I take them as ‘to go’ ?
If it’s OK, I’ll be hopping on the aircraft with them.

DeleteThese days, I don’t go Centurion Lounge because that lounge got too many guests, even ZOO may be better expression. And the busiest period, you can’t enter there – the receptionist doesn’t allow entering the lounge. Furthermore, now Centurion Lounge only accepts the guests within 3 hrs prior to departure, and/or the maximum stay is within 3 hrs. Then, when you successfully enter the lounge, you will feel as if you are a rice grain of sushi. What a pity situation. No wonder the average household income in San Mateo County is over $175,000, everybody has Amex Platinum or Centurion Card.
Current United Club in G-Gates, at the former Global First Lounge location, is pitiful too. The basic structure remains as Global First Lounge but the furniture, snacks and services are downgraded to US regional United Club quality. And the worst part is; the quality of the guests is totally pitiful. Those people are the ‘leftover,’ means, couldn’t enter Polaris Lounge but demanded to enter somewhere for free drink and snacks like homeless people (I hereby refrain from the word “beggars.”).
Sushi-Tatsu has a window for to-go (a.k.a. take away). However, there is a sticker clearly telling “Finish eating within 30 minutes or we don’t guarantee if you’ve got food poisoned.” So, please do to-go fatty tuna and salmon raw and hit the jackpot! (LOL)
