>> Station under construction

www

www)

  1. obaKoba-sann,

I also think there’re so many limitations in Google Translate.

In a few systems of words for communication, Google Translate may be inclined to create more excellent consequences than in other languages.
It would accomplish capably when English is the origin and language in EU is the aim.
For example, English (CLOSED) to Spanish (CERRADO) rewording could be precise in comparison.

Still, when the original subject matter of document is briefer like “CLOSED”, principle-based device translations generally perform a task exceedingly.
The action might be especially apparent in English (CLOSED) to Chinese (关) interpretations.

As long as rewriting goes, and particularly in Japanese, Google Translate can’t refine the original subject matter of document easily even when it is briefer.
When the subject is sentences, it gets more difficult.
Generally speaking, Japanese should be a language for Google Translate to lead to incorrect translations.

    1. Best Denki sensei,

Translation by Google is just a “suspect.” They are not guilty until the case is proven by the court of law. [So called: Presumption of Innocence] (lol) By the way, this blog is supported by Blogger (brogger.com) and its owner is Alphabet/Google. Sssshhhh!! (LOL)

When I am in the countries where I can’t speak their basic language, I often use Google Translate App in my iPhone. For Spanish, German, French or Western European languages, as per sensei pointed out, it works almost perfect or good enough to establish a productive conversation. Or I didn’t have any problem when I had Swiss professor because he speaks five Western languages fluently… I really miss him. *sigh*

However, Turkish is the problematic one I’m always in trouble because Google Translate doesn’t work well. Due to my brief research and guess, it is because of context. The Turkish context and grammar are closer to Japanese!
Then, NICT(情報通信研究機構)released a translation App named VoiveTra, and this software works quite well if I try Japanese to Turkish. However, the most difficult issue is; this program doesn’t support the opposite way, Turkish to Japanese!! In Turkey, fast wireless data communication like 4GLTE is already available so there’s no stress for referring to the server or AI-system located in Japan, but one-way translation is USELESS in the real world… therefore I have to keep using Google Translation, between English and Turkish with double-checking by “reversal translation.”

In any case, Japanese language, even verbal, is quite tough to translate. When I use mechanical translator from Japanese to English, If I speak/write like “directly translated” sentence, including nominative and predicative, i.e. we experienced a lot in high school era, then the result is surprisingly, significantly better than normal verbal sentences we use.
However, unfortunately, this technique doesn’t work well for Turkish translation, so I am still looking for the best mechanical translator… but it’s getting better if I compare to a decade or two ago, so I expect a good translation supported by AI. (as well as automatic car driving without fatal accidents.)
