毎日のように通っているのは、牛車水にある味香園。上のカットはウェブサイトのトップページから。
ここ、チャイナタウン・ポイントというショッピングビルの地下2階で、ひっそりしていていつも空いている。
･･･なんか違う。どうも「うわ～、こんなに山盛り！？」という、テンプル通り本店の感動が薄い気がする。
向きを変えて撮っていますが... やっぱりわずかに量が少ないと思う。
本店は激混み、この支店はガラガラの理由は... その存在が知られていないからではなく、盛りが少ないからかっ！？
･･･やはり背が高い。DQNに巻き尺持って行って計ったり(笑)、スマホのサイズ計測ツールを起動するまでもありません。遠慮せずバクバクしていっても、多分3～4回くらいは余計に幸せになれそうな大きさです。
さすがはリリンの王、中国人。初号機と弐号機でのスノーアイスの差を見切っているようです。
しかし、さまざまなファクタがあって弐号機も捨てがたいのです。
1. 営業日
本店は月曜休業。月曜の夜の便でSFOへ戻る日には利用できません。
2. 営業時間
どちらも正午頃開店ですが、いいかげん。
正午開店のはずの本店に11時頃行ったら、もう満席だったり...。
チャイナポイント店のほうへは10時半頃行ったら、顔見知りになったおばちゃんが開店前にスノーアイス造ってくれました。納品受領や清掃している店内でスノーアイスを食えました。(笑)
3. 混雑具合
本店はハンパなく混んでいます。1～2名ならほぼ問題なく座れるものの、その喧噪に若干辟易します。
一方でチャイナタウン・ポイント店はいつもガラガラ。
4. 冷房
日中はいつでも30℃超えで湿度70%以上のシンガポールでは、冷房は重要。
本店は三つのテナントを接続したようなツギハギで、冷房の効きもイマイチ。
一方でチャイナタウン・ポイント店はMRT直結＆地下2階なので冷え冷え。
5. サービス
テンプル通り本店は多くの店員がテンパって働いていて、覚えてもらえない。
チャイナタウン・ポイント店は2～3人でのオペレーション。もう店員に覚えられたので、前述のように開店1時間半前でも食べさせてもらえました。
6. そして、盛り
今回はっきり判りましたが、明らかに本店のほうが大きい。
これは悩ましいです。自分の中でうまく割切って使い分けるしかなさそうです。
ちなみに、ポンポン壊していませんが極端な温湿度変化で喉をやられました。(泣)

ReplyDelete最近、駅中にタピオカのお店がオープンしました、とんでもなく行列してます。
いずれ、てんこ盛りなスノーアイスですが、盛りの加減が違うと・・・
と言う事は、造る人の感覚で盛ってるって事ですよね。
アイスの塊をスライサーみたいので削るんでしょうけど、
量が決まってないのでしょうかね？
それとも、お店のテナント料の分だけ少なかったりして？弐号機。
どちらにしても、のんびり食べてると溢れだしますよね、コレ。
ダブルで食べると・・・ポンポン壊しそう・・・
香港・台彎スイーツの店って日本では流行らないんでしょうか...。

こっちでは飽和して、いまどんどん潰れているところです。
昨日・一昨日と初号機のほうでスノーアイス食ってました。
高さがあるけど、もしかして厚さが薄いかも?という疑惑が...。
でも初号機のほうのおばさんにも覚えられました。
二日連続で、2度もスノーアイス食いに来る奴は珍しいと思われ。ｗ

DeleteI started carrying my insulin pen with me.
For keeping temperature, I put my insulin pen into ViviCap.

Then, the pen w/ViviCap is secured into the thermo, with one or two small frozen cooling agents. It stays cold around 4 to 8℃ when I arrived at the hotel in Singapore. I think this ViviCap + thermo can keep insulin pens over 72 hrs under this condition.
This method works quite well but the thermo is being used as a pen carrier, I can’t put cold water or ice tea in there for my outgoing flight.
Those one-time use needles are secured in my medication bag. I asked TSA officers about these medical materials and she replied to me those are exceptions from liquid or sharp items. They are not so serious to elderly like me. (LOL)
Visiting Japan is much easier. I stored my pens in my mom’s fridge so I don’t have to carry them back and forth.
Now my primary doctor tells me he might suspend sulfonylurea or metformin because those meds are for those who don’t want injecting insulin by themselves, he said…
