まだ搭乗開始まで30分はあるから、この写真を撮った時点ではけっこうガラガラですが...この後混んできました。
ポディアムヘ行って搭乗券を交換してもらおうとしたら、顔見知りのユナイテッド職員の姐さんがいました。
Oh, Mr. obaKoba! How are you, sir? とかいきなり言われ「僕の名前覚えちゃってるの？」と驚かされました。
姐さんとFRAの女神様のぶん、新作ネックレスを差し上げて。（ぁぁ、まだ予備持ってて良かった～♪）
赤いTKから青いUAの搭乗券に交換してもらい、Document Check と書いてあるキヨスクへ...。
僕のセキュリティチェックを受付てくれたおじさん... まさかのフリーパス？
いきなり「ステッカー貼るから搭乗券貸してください｡」って...
「あのぉ... な～んも聞かないでステッカー貼っちゃうの？ パスポートとか見ないでいいの？？」
「あんたルフトの受託じゃなくてユナイテッドの職員と楽しそうに話してたろ？搭乗券貸して！」
フランクフルト空港のセキュリティ係官、ぬるぽかと思ったらしっかり仕事してます。まぢ驚きました。
僕がポディアムでユナイテッドの制服着た姐さんと喋ってる様子から既に観察していたようです。
さらに搭乗が始まって... 姐さんがオイデオイデするので、僕だけGSと一緒に呼ばれました。
これって顔パスでしょうか？フランクフルトも僕の庭でしょうか？？ 有り難いことです。
前方のジェットウェイから乗ったら...まだカラッポだったから、ポラリスビジネスの前半分を、ぱっち。
そして僕が座るのは... 無事3Aをげとしていました。
スリッパもメニューもチョコレートも、なんもかんも既に置いてあって配布には来ません。
驚いたことに、税関申告書も配ってありました... いらないのに。
でも前回「SFOの Global Entry キヨスクはしょっちゅう壊れる」って脅されていたので、いちおう確保。(笑)
ウェルカムドリンクの注文取りは、たまにはオレンジジュースで。
ポラリスチョコレートも一緒に撮影していますが、このチョコは後でシャンパンと一緒にいただきました。
ヘッドホンを格納しているスペースには、既にミネラルウォーターのボトルも。
我が家の『米国的なほうの苗字』に酷似している名前の水は、フランス製のはず。
故スイスの先生は、ブルゴーニュ邸のほうではいつもこればっかり飲んでいました。
この四半期、これと同じカット何回撮影して何回掲載したか飽きたけど... 次回の5月のNRT便もまたここだよ。ｗ
この時はあの「青いLED照明」を使っていなかったので、場末のキャバレーみたいにはならず好感度。
あ、マインフリンゲンとシンクロしていなかった！...大西洋時間に戻す前にシンクロスタート。
さすが、FRA空港はマインフリンゲンに近いだけあって、僕の側の窓は逆向きなのにシンクロ一発で成功。
その後離陸してビバレッジサービスが始まりました。
たまにはシャンパーニュでもいただきます。Drappier Carte D'Or Brut NV でした。
まだマスターソムリエのフロストくんを雇っているんでしょうか？渋いチョイスです。
明らかにピノ・ノワールが多目なコクのある味わいだから、チョコレートとの相性がいい。
これ写した時点ではフランボワーズ入りのハート型チョコをもぐもぐ♪
ブラン･ド･ノワールっぽいシャンパーニュとチョコレートもイイよね。泡のおかわり、もらっちゃった。
Salad Mixed greens, celery root, seedless grape, hard boiled egg served with dressing
セロリの根が使ってありますが、風味がおだやかなので大丈夫。ゆで卵入りなのは珍しい？
ポラリスで初めて見たと思う。イチジク味のバルサミック・ドレッシングです。ほのかな風味で美味しかったよ。
前菜は... パッと見た時にチャーシューかと思いましたが、鶏でした。(笑)
Chilled appetizer Smoked chicken, farro salad with dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds, brined carrots, whole-grain mustard
冷製前菜 スモークチキン、クランベリーと南瓜の種入り小麦のサラダ、塩漬け人参、つぶつぶマスタード
全粒マスタードがドイツ発っぽいかも。味はそんなに悪くなかったです。
ガーリックトーストも「ちゃんとトーストしてんのかゴルァ！」ってキレたくなりそう。
そしてメインの選択肢は、いつつありました。
・Braised beef short ribs
・Seared chicken breast
・Poached cod
・Ricotta and porcini mushroom totellini
・Seasonal salad with grilled shirimp
どれを食べたでしょう？･･･は、あまりにもバレバレだよね。
予想は第弐希望を加えて連勝複式にしたかった(笑)ですが「第弐希望を伺う必要がありません」って言われた。残念。
今年から「後でブログを書くため」と自分を納得させ、配布されたメニューを持ち帰っていますが...

I remember UA sent off the Polaris Business Class in December 2016, taking the place of the BusinessFirst.
The idea of the Polaris should be the UA’s most radical brand complete change in more than 10 years.
The improvement might have been urged by strong reference points started by Asian or Middle Eastern competing airlines.
UA’s Polaris may be worthy of comparison with DL’s Delta One and AA’s Super Diamond Business Class, both of which were inaugurated within a few years.
The earliest airplanes with the entirely new Polaris compartment in the UA’s fleet are B773ER, aren’t they ?
I was also inspired when you first experienced the full Polaris product.
The new Polaris cabin on the B773ER looks extremely spacious.
If I’m flying unaccompanied, my best seat in the Polaris cabin is the odd-numbered window seat which is close to the window and far from the aisle as you’ve often mentioned.
It’s worth interpretation of written words of your inside-information on how to catch inexpensive Polaris vouchers to and from North America for a way to save some money and to catch better seats.

DeleteUnited introduced this new Polaris™ Business interior from the newly received Boeing 777-300ER’s which placed orders by Continental Airlines, of course. Eventually, ex-United’s Boeing 777-222’s will be converting to new Polaris seats, but currently as of today, my flight UA58/59 in January 2019 still shows three cabin classes though Global First is blocked. Hope I can sit in the new Polaris seats next year… Oh, btw. Current UA972 which is 2nd FRA-SFO connection in seasonal operations, are shown in January 2019 so I booked it. If it’s an error and I reassigned to UA59, I will complain United shortens my trip plan.
The seat pitch is good. No wonder it’s modified from 2-4-2 to 1-2-1 abreast. However, considering this seat configuration, it doesn’t feel so much wider… the length is not too shabby though.
And the odd rows are the right ones for sure. When I’m checking the seat availabilities, it’s always filled from front and odd rows window-side, followed by front even rows. Center islands are less popular but front side is always being packed before back side window sides are taken.
The Polaris products are simply pretending Delta One™. United’s marketing department never generating their new products without competing Delta or American, except selling the elite status with prepaid or something related directly to their revenue. For United, money is everything.
