United App on iPhone X

United Club

  1. obaKoba-sann,

I also hear plenty of apps aren’t made fit for the display up until now excluding for United and a few others.
It’s not important, but worth noticing.

    Face-ID is awfully useful.
    The telephone is speedy.
    The display is exactly good
    Entirety is excellently unified.
    Photographic equipment is exceptional.

    Is all written above right?

I know you aren’t a phonaholic, but I’m quite sure you’ve got a great gadget.

    1. Dear Best-denki sensei,

Replying you seriously, iPhone X is a well-made product. I hereby follow the points you picked.

Face ID works faster, better than fingerprint(s) at the cash registers when I am using ApplePay, and unlock the phone. However its detection of the face consumes some extra battery power during the sleep-mode.

I’m sorry I can’t understand about your term “the telephone is speedy.” If you’re pointing out the processor inside of new iPhones, including 8 and 8plus, yes that newly equipped 64-bit A11 6-core Bionic microchip is the fastest ever. But ‘speedy telephone’ can be translated for me as a person took care of Mobile Division, it defines beyond 3G technologies such as Long Term Evolution, IEEE802.16e (a.k.a. WiMAX) and/ or HSDPA+, etc. and those are the ‘speedy’ wireless data (and voice) connection technologies we can afford these days.

The OLED display on iPhone X is superb. Apple’s display is always leading in the industry but this one is quite outstanding. However, unfortunately, I can’t feel its difference well these days because of my old far-sited eyes. Apple installs Super Retina display but my own Super Retina built in my eyes are lasting… At least I can still detect the color dynamics is wider and the contrast is way better than backlight LED screens.

Its minimalist lovers’ frameless design is… say ‘good’ and ‘bad.’ I do love this shiny-shiny-catchy-monkey sleek modern design with double sided glass panels. However, simultaneously, it’s a bit slippery and giving concern of the theft and the fragile construction. Hence this is the very first time for me to cover iPhone with a case.

Built-in cameras are great. Basically I stopped carrying my Leica for my trips. Now I only have to protect my iPhone holster from the burglars and thieves. (Oh, and my wallets and a passport too but those are under the hidden zippers.) The rest of the weak point of iPhone camera is the size of sensor which is too small to manage focal depth optically.

Then… ‘phonaholic’? Well… no, I’m not a phoneaholic nor no problems on my cardiovascular system so far if you got concerned my phonarteriogram. Thank pharmaceutical manufacturers and doctors, I only manage my diabetes and hypercholesterolemia beside the prevention from ‘some’ deceases. ;P

  2. obaKoba-sann,

I’m also sorry to hear you can’t comprehend about my description of a concept “the telephone is speedy.”
As you suggest, I’m calling attention to the central processing unit inside the main part of brand-new iPhones.
Anyway, I’m relieved to know that just outfitted microchip is the ‘speediest’ at all times.

Oh, I have to get back to work.
    Keep in touch.

    1. Best-denki sensei,

      Gotcha.
The data connection over the wireless network was always the headache for us as video game manufacturers, especially the delay and missing data packets… I’m such a happy camper now because I don’t have to worry about those things.

And talking about A11 Bionic chip, is 10nm circuit rule with hect-cores, which is currently the top speed indeed. However, I already heard the next generation A11X will be 7nm ruled circuit with octa-core!! That is less than half of thickness wiring compared to SH3 (Super Hitachi 3) microchip which was equipped in Seg@ Dre@mc@st, laundry machines or rice cookers. (…such a shame)
CPU speed is always important but if it’s faster, it spends more power in theory. Therefore the circuit size is the next key to reduce the electric power consumptions then it gives longer battery life.

Thanks for the reply and enjoy peeping someone’s organs♪
